Evolve Now in Bangkok

Amazing place and so much to see! I made many different new experiences, the main reason why I decided to go to the other side of the world for several weeks. It feels good to have a change of scenery and experience a different culture. Bangkok is a city of contrast. It’s very modern in some places, yet you have ancient sights in the middle of the city. You have luxury cars parked next to a homeless person. The people here seem to be very calm, but at the same time everything is so hectic.

Besides super delicious fruits finding vegan food options in Bangkok is actually harder than I expected. Everywhere you look there’s BBQ and grilled meat. But if you know what to look for you will find really nice restaurants and little food stands that offer vegan meals. I ate a really delicious curry (that was way to spicy for me though, so be careful when ordering a spicy meal! 🥵), coconut pancakes, Ramen and much more.

I definitely encourage you to go to JJ Market when you are in Bangkok. It’s a huge market in the heart of the city. You can literally buy anything there. From food, to jewelry, to clothes and even furniture. If you need something, you will find it here. Go there in the morning when it’s not so crowded. Around noon time it starts to get busy there, but since it’s so big it really is not that bad. For me at least I enjoy my time more when there are less people around!

Unfortunately I didn’t find the time to do much Yoga and working out, but I really wanted to use my limited time in this city to make as many new experiences as possible.  I saw many temples, downtown and even New year’s celebration in Chinatown! Chinatown was mind blowing to me because I have never seen anything like this before. The super busy streets, chickens just running around, the cut electric cables hanging right in your face. Traffic lights seem to be more of a friendly reminder that you could try to walk over the street, if you are brave enough to do so. Chinese New Year was super awesome! Loads of people, loud music, dancing dragons, food I have never seen before. It was a culture shock and that’s what I came here for.

Even though this city is really exhausting for me because I am not used to such a big place and that many people I still really enjoy Bangkok and I am glad to be here. I am looking forward to my second stay in Bangkok!☀️🙏🏾
